The 7th Annual Philadelphia Anchors for Growth and Equity PAGE Summit

On February 26, 2026, the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia convened regional business, institutional, and civic leaders for a SOLD OUT PAGE Summit focused on the power of anchor institutions to drive equitable growth across Philadelphia.

Hosted at the Alan Horwitz Sixth Man Center in North Philadelphia, the Summit moved beyond theory and into practice. The program centered actionable strategies to localize supply chains, strengthen small business capacity, and align institutional purchasing power with community need. Leaders from higher education, healthcare, government, and the private sector examined how anchor commitments can translate into measurable local impact.

The conversation elevated anchor–small business partnerships as a core economic strategy shaping workforce development, supplier diversity, and long term regional competitiveness. Grounded in lived experience and operational insight, speakers outlined practical pathways for closing equity gaps while building resilient local ecosystems.

Temple University President John Fry delivered the featured keynote, followed by a business engagement panel moderated by Jac Rivers of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. Kenny Holdsman, Craig Williams, Tari Wright, Ajee Cook, and Jason Ray shared lessons from the field on strengthening supplier pipelines, advancing inclusive procurement, and scaling partnerships that expand opportunity.

The evening concluded with Cocktails with an Anchor, connecting entrepreneurs directly with procurement and purchasing leaders from regional institutions. The reception reinforced a central takeaway: when anchors align their resources with community priorities, they create scalable pathways to shared prosperity.

As the Economy League continues its work, the PAGE Summit reflects a broader commitment to advancing civic leadership, strengthening local and diverse supplier ecosystems, and translating strategy into sustained regional growth.
