Business Case Manager
Philadelphia Anchors for Growth & Equity (PAGE)
Position Overview
The PAGE Case Manager is a full-time, salaried position responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 50 small and diverse businesses that are working to grow their capacity to secure institutional contracts in the Philadelphia region. This role sits at the intersection of relationship management, technical assistance, and data tracking to help PAGE leverage anchor and public procurement to drive inclusive local growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of ~50 PAGE business partners, maintaining regular touchpoints (email, phone, virtual, and in-person) to understand their goals, challenges, and institutional contracting readiness.
- Ensure portfolio firms are aware of and engaged in PAGE offerings, including events, trainings, bid opportunities, and strategic introductions to anchor institutions and public buyers.
- Troubleshoot barriers faced by businesses (e.g., accessing bids, navigating vendor registration, preparing proposals, understanding requirements) and connect them to PAGE, City, and ecosystem resources as appropriate.
- Track all firm interactions, services provided, referrals, and outcomes in PAGE's CRM or data system, maintaining timely, accurate, and complete records to support organizational performance management.
- Collaborate with the Research & Impact team to share qualitative and quantitative insights, contribute to KPI dashboards, and support preparation of grant reports, council briefings, and external communications on PAGE impact.
- Conduct periodic check-ins with firms to understand contract wins, revenue growth, and capacity changes tied to PAGE and SupplyPHL opportunities, and flag success stories for further amplification.
- Draft and disseminate a monthly PAGE front-page newsletter highlighting upcoming events, policy changes (e.g., Keep It Local Bill, LBPI, EOP updates), procurement opportunities, and resources for both local businesses and institutional purchasers in the Philadelphia region.
- Coordinate logistics and outreach for PAGE convenings (e.g., PAGE Summit, real estate and construction events, workshops) as needed to ensure strong participation from portfolio firms.
- Represent PAGE in the field across the Philadelphia region, including site visits with businesses and attending partner and institutional meetings to advocate for local, diverse supplier inclusion.
- Participate in the dynamic work environment of the Economy League, including regular staff meetings, periodic conferences and other events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a combination of project management, customer success, account management, sales, or technical assistance roles, ideally with small businesses or in an economic development, supplier diversity, or workforce context.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of relationships, prioritize follow-up, and move multiple workstreams forward simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable reaching out proactively to business owners, institutional staff, and ecosystem partners, including occasional cold outreach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical or policy information into accessible language for small business audiences.
- Experience taking detailed notes, maintaining organized records, and working with CRMs or other data tools to track activities and outcomes.
- Comfort collaborating with research/data staff and using basic metrics (e.g., number of firms served, contracts won, revenue unlocked) to inform decisions and reporting.
- Knowledge of or interest in Philadelphia's local and diverse business ecosystem, anchor procurement, and inclusive economic development strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Philadelphia region.
